Out of state, but still in session.
A PsyPact psychologist is a licensed psychologist who has been granted the authority to practice teletherapy and temporary in-person psychology across state lines within the participating states of the Psychology Inter-jurisdictional Compact (PsyPact). This certification allows psychologists to provide their services to clients in different states without needing additional licenses in those states, facilitating greater access to mental health care.
Benefits of a PsyPact certified psychologist
With PsyPact certification, psychologists can:
Offer Teletherapy Services: Provide remote therapy and psychological services to clients located in any PsyPact member state, ensuring continuity of care for clients who may move or travel frequently.
Temporary In-Person Practice: Deliver in-person psychological services in other PsyPact states on a temporary basis, up to 30 days per year per state, without the need for a new state-specific license.
Expand Client Reach: Serve a broader client base, making mental health care more accessible to individuals in underserved or rural areas.
Maintain Compliance: Ensure they are practicing within the legal and ethical guidelines of all PsyPact member states, avoiding the complications of navigating multiple state licensure requirements.
